Excited for Labor day Weekend?  There are plenty of things to do in our area that are fun for the whole family.  Have fun and enjoy Labor Day!

 

1. Annual Labor Day Weekend Picnic

Head over into the borough of West Chester this Saturday and checkout the West Chester Growers Market where they will be holding a FREE picnic for all market guests.  Locally grown sweet corn and hot dogs will be provided for all in attendance.  Walk around the market and checkout the locally sourced products.  This event will be held at at the corners of N Church & W Chestnut streets, rain or shine.  Cant make it? West Chester Growers Market is open year round every Saturday through December 23rd so get out there and enjoy what the scenic borough of West Chester has to offer.

2. Fireworks & Fountains Be Our Guest

This Saturday, Long Wood Gardens will be bringing your imagination alive by holding a fireworks and fountain show centered around the animated movie classic- Beauty and the Beast.  delight the young, and the young at heart during this magical performance.  Grab tickets and feel free to bring a chair for lawn seating during the performance.

3. Labor Day Concert with Fireworks

Celebrate the end of summer at Penns Landing with a FREE concert by the U.S. Army Band Downrage at 8PM followed by spectacular fireworks over the river at 9:30PM this Saturday.  End up at the Blue Cross River Rink end of Summer celebration held all Labor Day Weekend.  Enjoy the the carousel, Ferris wheel, and roller skating rink before they close for the season.  If you cant make it to the concert on Saturday make sure to get the most out of summer at the rink.
